The home game against Alloa on Sunday, October 24th will see hospitality guests enjoy a German traditional meal of Chicken Schnitzel along with four complimentary German beers (or a half bottle of wine) per guest. Vegetarian options are: Braised Cauliflower Schnitzel, Braised Red Cabbage and Dill Parsley and Crushed Potatoes.
SG Wattenscheid 09 was founded in 1909 and has a “fan friendship” with Queen’s Park going back 15 years. The German club, from near Dortmund and Dusseldorf, has hosted Queen’s Park twice for pre-season training camp.
Although now in the fifth tier in Germany, the club played in the Bundesliga for 4 seasons in the 1980s and 90s, inflicting two defeats on Bayern Munich in that time.
The day’s menu will also include a pre-match quiz and entertainment, a Q&A with a former player ahead of the match, and a half time pie and tea or coffee.
We will also broadcast a special video message from our friends at Wattenscheid and our very own Keith McAllister will tell our guests some humorous anecdotes from previous trips to Germany with Queen’s Park.
Throw in access to a pay bar, prime deck seating, and a complimentary team sheet – and all for £50 per person. For the Club’s most committed fans there is more good news – with a discount of £10 per person for members and season ticket holders.
The hospitality will run from 1 pm to 6pm.
